The Challenge
Cybersecurity was rapidly becoming one of the most critical issues for governments, businesses and public institutions alike. Sweden was not yet a member of NATO, and discussions around cyber threats, digital resilience and international security cooperation were accelerating across Europe.
The Stockholm Smart City Conference wanted to address these challenges and provide attendees with insights from leading international experts. The challenge was to secure a speaker who could offer both a strategic perspective and practical insight into the future of cybersecurity, NATO's vision for digital resilience, and Sweden's role within the international security landscape.
Our Contribution
As part of the conference's content strategy, Jenny identified cybersecurity as a critical theme of growing relevance for both the public and private sectors. She secured NATO's Head of Cybersecurity as keynote speaker — a unique opportunity for attendees to gain direct insights from one of the world's leading authorities in the field.
Identification of emerging themes and high-value conference topics
Development of a content strategy around cybersecurity and digital resilience
Establishment and management of relationships with senior international stakeholders
Integration of the keynote into the wider conference programme
Ensuring relevance for Swedish decision-makers, industry leaders and the public sector
The session explored NATO's vision for cybersecurity, the future threat landscape, and Sweden's role in an increasingly interconnected global security environment.
The Result
The keynote became one of the conference's most strategically significant sessions, providing attendees with rare access to insights from NATO leadership at a time when cybersecurity was rapidly climbing the agenda for governments and organisations worldwide.
By linking global security developments to local and regional challenges, the session helped position the conference as a premier platform for forward-looking conversations on technology, resilience and innovation.
